Fire and Ice by Robert Frost

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
(Robert Frost)

Personal Blog:
     Robert Frost, an American poet who recieved the Pulizar prize for poetry because of the fact that he could depict the rural life of the American people in such a way that insprired many lives. (1874-1963)
     This poem moves me. I feel like I can relate to the poem itself simply because to me, it seems like he's been through a whole lot and it doesn't really matter wheather he dies from fire or ice, he's still going to die. I feel the same way. He's been through enough hate that it wouldn't really matter to him. This Poem moved me for two reasons. One, because i can also relate. And two, Because of thre way that he writes. It's pretty exilerating!

  1. Truly a classic poem that inspires so many other writings and songs. This poem is one of the few that I enjoy. I'm glad that you like it as well!
